In Green Bay, Georgia-Pacific’s approximately 1,700 manufacturing employees produce nationally-known brands of bath tissue, napkins, paper towels and wipers, such as Quilted Northern®, Angel Soft®, Brawny®, enMotion® and Vanity Fair®. A long-time fixture in the community, one of the company’s five Green Bay facilities has been manufacturing products for 115 years. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Koch Industries Inc., Georgia-Pacific is led through Market Based Management® (MBM®), a business philosophy that enables organizations to succeed long term by applying the principles that allow free societies to prosper. The essence of MBM® is creating real, sustainable value for customers, communities and the company. In a nutshell, value creation requires providing products and services that customers value more highly while consuming fewer resources – this leaves more resources available to satisfy other needs in society. In addition to its Broadway and Day Street paper mills, its West Mason and SPG converting facilities, and its Ecosource fiber recycling operation, Green Bay is also home to about 600 other Georgia-Pacific or Koch employees working in IT, engineering, transportation and customer service for away-from-home products.
